Hi Greg

It is unfortunate that it is being held at the same time. Each offering of
a CS4HS is different and up to the organisers. CS4HS (Computer Science for
High School) is an initiative sponsored by Google to promote Computer
Science and Computational Thinking in high school and middle school
curriculum. With a financial gift from Google, universities develop a 2-3
day workshop for high school and middle school IT teachers.

The Swinburne program focuses on hands-on experiences in networking,
hacking and viruses and gaming and a visit to the telecommunications
museum and some some interesting talks about how IT is used in day-to-day
life such as the Intelligent Transport System in collaboration with
VicRoads and the Decision Support System for the Trauma Centre at the
Alfred Hospital. As part of ours, we are also sending our participants to
visit an IT company in the CBD followed by an informal dinner at a local
restaurant near the Campus.
I am sorry we will not see you at the Swinburne event this year, but
perhaps you might join us in 2014?

Cheers
therese
