<br><font size=2 face="Arial">Time is running out to register for the <b>Australasia-Pacific Extension Network (APEN) International Conference</b>. Registration places are filling up quickly, it is exciting to see an excellent diversity of delegates from around Australia and the globe!!</font>

The broad backgrounds of delegates mean that there is something in this conference for a wide range of people working in the broad area of change. <br><font size=2 face="Arial">As well as a number of workshop sessions where delegates will be able to interact and apply their learnings to their work situation, we have a wide range of presentations at the conference.</font>

<p><font size=2 face="Arial">**<b>Presentations**</b></font>
<p><font size=2 face="Arial">13 papers will feature in an <b>expo</b> where delegates will tour a range of stations and get 'tastes' of many different practice change stories in extension, education and research.</font>
<p>
<p><font size=2 face="Arial">64 papers will be presented in <b>concurrent sessions</b> on a great range of topics under six streams:</font>
<p><font size=2 face="Arial">- The approaches, methods and tools used in extension/practice change programs;</font>
<p><font size=2 face="Arial">- The multiple scales (issue specific project to community or landscape) at which extension/practice change is applied; </font>
<p><font size=2 face="Arial">- The partnerships/networking and institutional arrangements necessary for extension/practice change to be effective;</font>
<p><font size=2 face="Arial">- The social context in which extension/practice change operates; </font>
<p><font size=2 face="Arial">- The evaluation/reflection frameworks for monitoring the performance of extension/practice change; and</font>
<p><font size=2 face="Arial">- Sustaining the development of the 'practice' and the practitioner of extension/practice change.</font>
<p>
<p><font size=2 face="Arial"><b>Keynote speakers</b> will cover topics such as livelihoods of small-holder farmers in Southeast Asia and the seven diseases undermining sustainable communities - and their cures. We are really excited to have as our keynote speakers: </font>

<p><font size=2 face="Arial">There are also many <b>posters </b>presenting current extension work that will be featured at a poster session tied in with a social event during the conference. The conference dinner will showcase the APEN Awards sponsored by Dairy Australia and great entertainment by the Celtic Larrikins. Other major sponsors include the Department of Primary Industries, the Department of Sustainability and Environment, Grain and Graze, and RIRDC and the Cooperative Venture for Capacity Building as joint sponsors.</font>
